About USP&E
Powering Possibility. Built for the Frontier.USP&E is a power generation company that designs, builds and operates power stations, and Africa Generators is the part of it that speaks to African owners. Mines, utilities, independent power producers and industrial sites reach us when a connection is weak, late or absent and the plant has to run anyway.
USP&E is not a broker and not a consultancy. One team carries an African project from verified equipment through engineering, EPC or EPCM and long-term operation and maintenance, backed by ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification and offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town alongside the USA, UK and China.
The company behind the name
USP&E designs, builds and operates power stations, and supplies the equipment inside them. Teams arrive with a strong African record, and we describe our approach with two phrases we repeat in every contract: Speed with Excellence, and Extreme Ownership. The first means a plan that moves quickly without cutting corners. The second means that when something goes wrong, the answer is ours to find, not a vendor’s to dispute.

Why Africa shapes how we work
Frontier work needs frontier habitsAfrican power does not fail politely. A port delays a transformer, a rainy season closes the haul road, a spare arrives with the wrong flange. Our Johannesburg and Cape Town teams plan for those events before the order is placed, so the schedule survives contact with the continent.
Mining clients know the pattern. USP&E supplied 28 Cummins KTA50 containerised gensets to Perseus Mining for the Nyanzaga gold project in Tanzania, and our published case studies include a 40 MW HFO plant in Guinea and a 104 MW refurbishment and O&M programme in Mali. Test the load, fuel, altitude and heat. Inspect the equipment before it ships, or specify new plant.
Engineer, procure, ship, install and commission, including customs and route planning.
Our O&M crews and SmartPower monitoring keep the station on its availability target.
A generator is only as reliable as the people and parts behind it. We plan the parts, the people and the route.

Working with Africa Generators
Start with a short note: where the site is, what it must carry, and when you need power. We reply with questions and a first set of options, not a brochure. If the answer involves equipment, we point to the live inventory. If it involves a plant, we assign a project lead who stays on the job from study to the first month of operation.
